In this Japanese myth, Amaterasu Ōmikami, the sun goddess, retreats into the Ama no Iwato, plunging the world into darkness. The story follows the gods' efforts to coax her out of the cave, hoping to restore light to the world.

日本の神話では、太陽の女神・天照大神が天の岩戸に隠れ、世界が闇に包まれてしまいます。この物語は、天照大神を岩戸から出し、再び光を取り戻そうとする神々の試みを描いています。
